Maintenance & Operation FAQ
Precision Control for Customizable Output Sizes
Q
How do I adjust the discharge size of the roller crusher?
A

Effect of roller sand making machine on sand making
Adjusting the discharge size (output fineness) is achieved by changing the gap between the two rollers. In modern HSM Hydraulic Roller Crushers, this process is automated and highly precise.
The Adjustment Process:
- Hydraulic System Activation: Use the hydraulic control panel to increase or decrease the pressure on the movable roller.
- Gap Width Setting: By increasing hydraulic pressure, the movable roller slides closer to the fixed roller, resulting in a finer discharge. Decreasing pressure allows the rollers to move further apart for a coarser discharge.
- Shim Adjustment (Manual Models): On older or simplified models, manual shims are added or removed behind the bearing block to fix the gap distance.
Key Advantage of Hydraulic Adjustment:
Our hydraulic system not only manages the gap but also acts as a safety relief. If an uncrushable object (like tramp iron) enters the chamber, the hydraulic cylinders automatically retract to let the object pass, preventing damage to the roller skin.
